2020 Property Tax Rates

FBCMUD136: The District has levied its 2020 property taxes. The Board is pleased to announce that its tax rate for the 2020 tax year remains at $0.42, which has been the tax rate since 2016, and is $0.21 lower than the District’s initial tax rate.

FBCMUD137: The Board of Directors of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 137 is pleased to announce that it has reduced its tax rate for 2020. The 2020 rate is $0.375, which is a three and one-half cent reduction from the 2019 tax rate. Since the first time the District levied taxes, the Board has reduced its tax by twenty-five and one-half cents! This year’s 3 1/2 cent reduction was made possible because of a decision by the Board to pay off some of the District’s outstanding Bonds early. This is like a homeowner paying off some of their home mortgage early to reduce the payments due. Bonds issued by the District are debt issued to pay for some of the public water and sewer infrastructure in the District. This will allow the District to realize significant savings in the amount of interest paid on these bonds, and the Board unanimously voted to pass these savings on to its taxpayers.

FBCMUD138: The Board of Directors of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 138 is pleased to announce that it has substantially reduced its tax rate for 2020. The 2020 rate is $0.35, which is a six-cent reduction from the 2019 tax rate. Since the first time the District levied taxes, the Board has reduced its tax rate by twenty-eight cents! This year’s six cent reduction was made possible because of a decision by the Board to pay off some of the District’s outstanding bonds early. This is like a homeowner paying off some of their home mortgage early to reduce the payments due. Bonds issued by the District are debt issued to pay for some of the public water and sewer infrastructure in the District. This will allow the District to realize significant savings in the amount of interest paid on these bonds, and the Board of Directors unanimously voted to pass these savings on to its taxpayers.

FBCMUD139: The District has levied its 2020 property taxes. The Board is pleased to announce that it has levied a tax rate of $0.405 for the 2020 tax year, which is a $0.005 reduction from the tax rate levied for the last five years, and is $0.165 lower than the District’s initial tax rate.

2019 Property Tax Rates

FBCMUD136: The District has levied its 2019 property taxes. The Board is pleased to announce it was able to keep the rate constant at $0.42 per $100 of assessed valuation. We are delighted to not have to increase taxes this tax year.

FBCMUD137: The District has levied its 2019 property taxes. The Board is pleased to announce it was able to keep the rate constant at $0.41 per $100 of assessed valuation. We are delighted to not have to increase taxes this tax year. In fact, according to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District’s calculated average homestead value, by the District levying the same rate in 2019 as it did in 2018 will produce a small annual savings of approximately $14.00 to the average homeowner.

FBCMUD138: The District has levied its 2019 property taxes. The Board is pleased to announce that, according to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District’s calculated average homestead value, the 2019 tax rate of $0.41 cents will produce a small annual savings of approximately $10.00 to the average homeowner.
